Our Story
A family, a farm, and a little milk machine
After two years managing a farm up North, Freddie returned home to Sussex, inspired by the milk vending machines he’d seen there. He wanted to bring the same fresh, local milk to people near More House Farm.
His sister Imy joined him to handle the marketing, and together they launched Cool Cow - not expecting many people to turn up on opening weekend… but the community loved it from day one.
Opening weekend
On January 4th 2024, in −2 °C, Freddie and Imy opened the doors for the very first time. After many flyer handouts and a few social media ads, the day finally arrived - and they couldn’t have expected so many people to turn up. They even ran out of milk twice. It was a thrilling start to Cool Cow.

Growing the Herd
Since that first weekend, Cool Cow has grown quickly. A new milk machine was added with a larger capacity to keep up with demand, ensuring everyone can get their fresh milk without running out.

More to enjoy
The site has expanded with new vending machines offering ice cream and coffee, plus a brand‑new container to house the additional equipment. We’ve also added decking with seating, creating a space for people to relax and enjoy their treats.

Seasonal Treats at Cool Cow
Since opening, Cool Cow has grown to keep up with our community’s appetite. Our ice cream and coffee offerings now change with the seasons, making sure there’s always something new to enjoy - creamy summer scoops in the warm months, and comforting winter drinks when the weather turns.
